Protecting Research Participants & Upholding Ethics
The Central Philippine University Research Ethics Review Board (CPU-RERB) was established in compliance with Republic Act No. 10532, also known as the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Act of 2013. Its creation is supported by DOST Special Orders, DOST Administrative Orders, and CHED Memoranda.
The primary aim of the CPU RERB is to provide inclusive and effective services and support to researchers, ensuring the ethical and scientific soundness of research. This is achieved by implementing national and international guidelines, maintaining accreditation, and upholding robust quality management practices. Its operations are guided by the National Ethical Guidelines for Research Involving Human Participants (NEGRIHP, 2022).
