Wind Energy Research, & Testing Enhance
The Wind Energy Research, and Development Facility at Central Philippine University is a research and development enhance for wind energy and related studies, featuring a 27-meter closed-loop duct with modular test chambers capable of wind speeds up to 275 km/h.
Designed and built through the effort of CPU's College of Engineering, the facility supports wind turbine design, performance testing, and investigations on wind effects on structures and vehicles, while allowing for future upgrades to more advanced studies. This was established in 2022 through DOST-PCIEERD funding.
